چکیده

Abstract Radish downy mildew (DM) caused by the oomycete Hyaloperonospora brassicae f. sp. raphani is a serious problem in radish crop, an edible root vegetable of Brassicaceae family. The objective this research was to assess germplasm for DM resistance and evaluate response different organs disease under controlled conditions. Forty-four accessions were inoculated at cotyledons true-leaves with H. isolate R10, collected field plants. roots tested isolates R10 R6, last one radish. symptoms varied genotype plant organ analysed. Twenty-seven resistant partially identified all stages are promising sources DM, namely 16 commercial varieties, 10 breeding lines, landrace. A significant correlation observed between cotyledon leaf (1st 2nd leaves) resistance, but low no found or roots, respectively. Cotyledon evaluation cannot be used predict However, has its own value because non-infected will act as barrier slow progression roots. Interesting that can programs.

Radish (Raphanus sativus) and Diabetes

For more than three decades, various in vitro and in vivo studies have linked radishes with diabetes, though this link has not been discussed. This review systematically addresses and summarizes the effect of radishes on diabetes. We searched the Web of Science, PubMed, and EMBASE databases for English language articles from June 1987 through May 2017 using the key words "radish" and "diabetes,...

Laxative Activity of Raphanus Sativus L. Leaf

Methods: Aqueous extract (AqRS) and fresh juice (FreRS) of Raphanus sativus L. were prepared and evaluated by preliminary phytochemical test. Laxative action of the extract at a dose of 250, 500 and 750 mg/kg (p.o) was evaluated using wistar albino rats, weighing 200-300 g, in different experimental model such as loperamide induced constipation, laxative activity test, gastrointestinal motility...

The effects of triazole Compounds on leaf Morphological and Anatomical Characteristics of Radish (Raphanus sativus L.)

In the present investigation was carried out to find out the impact of Triadimefon(TDM) and hexaconazole (HEX) triazole fungicides on the leaf anatomy of Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) The plant was treated with one litre of aqueous solution containing 20 mg -1 triadimefon (TDM) and 20mg -1 hexaconazole (HEX) on 23,35 and 53, days after sowing (DAS) by soil drenching. The plants were harvested on...

Alternaria brassicae and A. brassicicola are the major leaf pathogens on Brassicaceae throughout the world. Here we report a spatio-temporal survey of naturally occurring isolates of these fungi in the Brazilian neotropics. Both fungi were able to induce similar symptoms in common hosts. The fungus A. brassicicola was more frequently isolated (187/322), being prevalent on the Brassica oleracea ...

Draft Sequences of the Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) Genome

Radish (Raphanus sativus L., n = 9) is one of the major vegetables in Asia. Since the genomes of Brassica and related species including radish underwent genome rearrangement, it is quite difficult to perform functional analysis based on the reported genomic sequence of Brassica rapa. Therefore, we performed genome sequencing of radish. Short reads of genomic sequences of 191.1 Gb were obtained ...
